Overview

Our aim at BAA is to create a safe and enjoyable environment, in which, players are free to express and improve themselves through football.

We plan to do this by:

  • Coaches and technical staff with current licenses (UEFA, Scottish FA, English FA, SCARS, CPR etc).
  • Great facilities (3G Turf Pitch, Gym & Street Football)
  • Bi-directional communication between players, parents, coaches and administrators.
  • Mid and full season player assessments
  • Age appropriate programs and practices, including agility/coordination, technical and positional play and tactical preparation.
  • Modern teaching tools that engage players and parents through diagrams and video through our website and media alike.
  • Competitive matches in the BFA League
  • Football programmes for age 5 and older
  • Respect for all players

With these and many more examples, we aim to improve all players' technical ability, as well as, their quality of life and character through football

Focus for our Under 9s (Beginners)

  • Developing basic coordination, balance and agility
  • Basic technical areas of the game (ball mastery, passing, shooting, etc.)
  • The rules and objectives of the game
  • How to engage people, become sociable leaders, accepting wins and losses gracefully
  • Enjoying their football while taking responsibility for their own development and improvement

Focus for our Under 11s & 13s (Intermediate)

  • Advancing to SAQ (speed, agility & quickness)
  • Advancing their technical skills, as they can mentally deal with repetitiveness
  • Intro to the more tactical side of the game (formations, how to hold a line/block etc.)
  • Using their influence as leaders and outgoing people in the right ways
  • Enjoying their football while taking responsibility for their own development and improvement

Focus for our U15s (Advanced)

  • Now focusing on strength, power and stamina as players enter puberty
  • Advanced technical ability (striking long balls accurately, different types of heading, etc.)
  • Advanced tactical awareness, knowledge and ability to adapt to multiple systems of play
  • Ability to now engage, speak, manage emotions and lead publicly inside and outside of football
  • Enjoying their football while taking responsibility for their own development and improvement
